Although there are a gazillion blog articles, vlogs, YouTube tutorials, Facebook Live videos, and Instagram Stories that we can learn from, sometimes the only thing you really need is a good book. I always have at least one book that I am working on and several chambered and ready to crack the spine. So fiction and non-fiction, here is a break-down of what is on my shelf at the moment.
The Great Work of Your Life: A Guide for the Journey to Your True Calling by Stephen Cope
You Are A Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero
Meditations on the Intention of Being: Daily Reflections on the Path of Yoga, Mindfulness, and Compassion by Rolf Gates
How Yoga Works by Geshe Michael Roach
The Dharma of Star Wars by Matthew Bortolin
Star Wars: Tarkin by James Luceno
Warrior Goddess Training: Become the Woman You Are Meant to Be by HeatherAsh Amara
Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert
Yes, Please by Amy Poehler
Be by A.C. Ping
Life of Pi by Yann Martel
Star Wars: Catalyst by Lames Luceno
Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
I know that there is some fiction mixed in here, but these particular novels, in my opinion, are more than just fluff reading. They show us, heroes and villains, fleshed out, with flaws and virtues not available to show in movies or even television shows. There are a lot of lessons in life that are learned by the characters of fiction, and we go along with them and learn these lessons too.
